According to earlier rumors, Apple would introduce iPad and MacBook models with OLED displays as early as next year. While Apple’s changeover may take some time, the Korean behemoth is preparing to mass-produce OLED laptop panels with built-in touch sensors. As early as February 3rd, Samsung might make the technology available in its next Galaxy Book notebooks.
Many businesses will profit from Samsung’s decision to join the OLED laptop display bandwagon. As previously noted, Apple will soon deploy certain OLED screens in its iPad Pro series as well as the MacBook, and Samsung is expected to give the development of the panels top priority.
The on-cell touch AMOLED technology used in Samsung’s OLED screens allows for a thinner display. For touch controls in the past, a touchscreen film had to be put on top of the panel. The OLED screen will be the first of its type in the whole globe to include touch sensors thanks to the most recent achievement. The panels should be available in 13 and 15 inch sizes and support 3K resolution and 120Hz refresh rates.
