Some new Spotify features have been spotted via a keen-eyed Twitter user, Jane Manchun Wong. She made some discoveries about some upcoming Spotify features that are still in testing and could be added to future versions of the app for Smartphones.
New Spotify Features are coming very soon!
Spotify is one of the leading choices of audiophiles across the world. Offering users the ability to listen to their favorite songs, artists, albums, podcasts, and discover new music as they use the app.
Spotify is among the top apps, right up with Pandora and Apple Music. However, unlike the other two, Spotify is expanding its availability steadily.
In addition, Spotify is also available on popular gaming consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One, allowing users to listen to music while gaming or the console being on.
Some of the features that are incoming are definitely diverse and make them worth the wait, while there is no window for when these features will be available for the public, here are the features in no particular order:
For starters, Free users to listen to offline music for 30 minutes every day. This means that free users will soon be able to download and listen to tracks for 30 minutes every day.
Next up, you can download your favorite episode of a podcast to save for later or for other purposes.
Another neat feature is auto refreshing playlists. This means that refreshing a playlist adds in new songs when you refresh the playlist.
A new UI for Car Mode and control via Google Assistant is also in the cards:

Lastly, it seems that they’re working on a Karaoke mode:
Keep in mind, these could still be experimental features that are still in testing and could come at any time, based on Spotify’s discretion.
There is no confirmation if these features will come out any time soon, or might never come out at all, but it would be worth to see how these features appear in future updates of the app.
