The LTPO screens, which would have been created specifically for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, are allegedly now included on the less costly Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus models.
Ice Universe has once again said on Twitter that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus would include LTPO technology in addition to having lower bezels like the forthcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The less priced models in Samsung’s 2024 flagship range will be able to provide longer battery life than the earlier generations since they are also more energy-efficient.
In order to save battery life, smartphones with LTPO displays may also lower refresh rates to the lowest possible level. The Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus will be able to lower their refresh rate down to 1Hz thanks to this improvement, while the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus displays could only go down to 48Hz and up to 120Hz as necessary.
But for many years, Samsung has avoided utilizing LTPO technology on its less costly flagship models because to the associated expenses. Sadly, Ice Universe has not said if including this upgrade would compel the business to raise prices for the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus, but we will be sure to let our readers know if this information changes.
