Meizu 20 Series Unveiled in China, Comes With Snapdragon Gen 2

The Meizu 20, Meizu 20 Pro, and Meizu 20 Infinity, Meizu’s twentieth-anniversary launches, are the company’s return to the smartphone market.

The 6.81-inch LTPO OLED display on the Meizu 20 Pro has a size of 1368 x 3192 pixels and a frame rate of 1–120 Hz. The 6.79-inch screen on the Meizu 20 Infinity edition has the same resolution and frame rate as the regular Pro model, but it has edges that are 2.48mm thinner on all four sides.

The Meizu 20 features a 6.55-inch OLED screen with a 144Hz frame rate and FHD+ resolution. All three phones feature 32MP front-facing cameras and ultrasonic in-display biometric readers.

Behind the wide, ultrawide, and zoom lenses on the rear of the Meizu 20 Pro are three 50MP cameras. The ultrawide and zoom cameras on the Meizu 20 Infinity are downgraded to 12MP, but the primary 50MP sensor remains the same. The standard Meizu 20 features a primary camera with a 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor, a 16MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP secondary camera.

LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage, and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor are included in all three Meizu 20 devices. The new phones also come with Flyme 10 OS, which introduces a brand-new style aesthetic known as Alive style.

The 4,700 mAh battery on the Meizu 20 supports 67W rapid charging. Meizu 20 Infinity has a 4,800 mAh battery and supports 65W and 50W wireless charging, while Meizu 20 Pro has a bigger 5,000 mAh battery and supports 80W and 50W cable charging.

The Meizu 20 is available in black, green, yellow, and pink hues. The basic 12/128GB variant costs CNY 2,999 ($436), and the 12/512GB trim costs CNY 3,799 ($553).

The Meizu 20 Pro is available in silver, gold, and black. The price of the 12/512 GB variant will be CNY 4,799 ($698), while the basic 12/128 GB model will cost CNY 3,999 ($582).

The Meizu 20 Infinity is available in emerald, silver, and black. The lowest-priced 12/256 variant costs CNY 6,299 ($916), and the most expensive 16GB RAM and 1TB storage edition costs CNY 8,499 ($1,236). The Meizu 20 line will begin open sales in China on April 3.
