Spider-Man: Remastered for PS5 was one of the additions to the ultimate edition of the newly released Spider-Man: Miles Morales (Ultimate Edition). It contained a remastered version of the 2018 original, which brought plenty of bells and whistles such as a higher frame rate, ray tracing, and a lot more content. You no longer need Spider-Man: Miles Morales to buy the game, as its appearing as an independent product on the PlayStation Store.
Spider-Man: Remastered for PS5 can now be bought separately
Spider-Man: Remastered was originally marketed as an add-on for Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition. After having a massive success on the PS4, the 2018 smash hit title is now on the PS5 and previously was tied behind individuals who only bought the specific version of the game.
Alternative, one could buy the game by running Miles Morales as well. In the in-game store you can purchase the Remaster for $39.99, but there was no way to buy the game without said game.
Spider-Man on its own is a fantastic game, and the game can now be purchased at your regional store. This is also a package that includes several story DLC for the game that introduces new friends, foes, expands on Peter Parkers story and also helps you enjoy the bustling city of New York all the more.
Paired with the recent patch that pairs performance mode with ray tracing, you would need a reason NOT to play this game if you haven’t played it before on the PS4. It is definitely one of the better games currently available on the PS5, and should help you fill the void in your library left by other PS5 exclusives like Demon’s Souls which you may have completed by now.
The release should be doing a global roll out, with it being available in most European regions as of right now, and if it isn’t available in your regional PS Store yet, try checking again in a few hours, otherwise it should be live by tomorrow.
It’s good to see that the game has broken away from Miles Morales as fans who were eager to replay the game without buying Miles Morales were feeling left out. It’s good to see the game being available for individual purchase.
