The introduction of the Xiaomi 13 series was delayed, but this just provided leakers more time to fill us in on the remaining undisclosed data, such as the camera, RAM, and storage specifications for forthcoming flagship phones.
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro will offer up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, says reputable tipster Ishan Agarwal. The phones will be offered in 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB variants, to be exact. The only choice with UFS 3.1 storage is the entry-level model. One of the trends for the 2023 flagships is the speedier UFS 4.0 standard, which will be implemented in the other variants. All smartphones will use the faster LPDDR5X RAM standard in addition to that. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC will be used in the phone.
The Xiaomi 13 series will also be available in one limited edition and at least four release colours. It’s important to note that each of these hues is unique and represents a significant departure from the glossy gradient finish of prior iterations. The leather-back finish is brought by the Distant Mountain Blue.Â
In addition to Ishan, the tipper Panda is Bald has some information to impart. He claims that the main camera on the Xiaomi 13 is a 54 MP Sony IMX800 with OIS. A 12 MP ultrawide OmniVision OV13B camera is also included in the phone. A 10 MP Samsung S5K3K1 telephoto module with 3.2x optical zoom is the last but not least feature. The 50 MP IMX989 (1-inch sensor) with OIS will be found on the 13 Pro. A 50 MP Samsung JN1 serves as the secondary camera and has a telephoto lens for an additional 3.2x optical zoom.
The tipper provides information about battery life as well. The smaller phone features a 4,500 mAh battery and supports 50W wireless charging in addition to 67W fast charging. A 4,820 mAh battery with 120W charging and 50W wireless charging will be available in the Pro. Both devices will launch with MIUI 14 in all its splendour and run Android 13 out of the box.
