The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro are Xiaomi’s newest flagship series, which were recently launched. Based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing process, all phones are powered by Qualcomm’s cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Perhaps more crucially, the two gadgets have a fresh look and a significant camera boost. They are now only available in China, but we anticipate that they will soon be available globally.

Xiaomi 13 Pro Specifications

The display of the Xiaomi 13 Pro stays almost unaltered. We have the same device with almost similar specifications as the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which featured a 6.73-inch display. Given that it is an LTPO panel, these features include a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1440 x 3200px resolution, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG, and 1920Hz DC dimming against harsh PWM. Additionally, the display features an environmental colour temperature sensor that enables real-time colour temperature adjustment.

The maximum and peak brightness are the only improvements here. While the peak brightness rise during HDR video playing, for instance, may reach 1,900 nits, the new 13 Pro’s display can light the whole surface area at 1,200 nits. LPDDR5X memory and the most recent UFS 4.0 storage are combined with the mentioned Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro’s triple 50MP camera arrangement on the back is there once again, but with some noteworthy improvements. A Leica-branded lens with an f/1.9 aperture with Hyper OIS has been coupled with the well-known 1-inch Sony IMX989, 1.6-m sensor from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. Also receiving a significant update is the telephoto lens. It has a same 50MP resolution but an additional 3x zoom and a Leica Floating Lens element with a slightly smaller f/2.0 aperture. Its 10 cm narrow focusing distance is what makes it intriguing.

A small increase in battery capacity to 4,820 mAh and Xiaomi’s Surge G1 processor enable safe 120W cable charging and 50W wireless charging. The standard 10W reverse wireless charging is also available. This is nothing new. Other features include an IR blaster, dual speakers tuned for Dolby Atmos, and IP68 dust and water resistance, a new addition to Xiaomi’s mainstream flagship line.

The two phones are available for pre-order in China, and deliveries will begin on December 14. The Xiaomi 13 costs CNY3,999 ($575) in its basic 8/128GB trim, while the top 12/512GB trim costs CNY4,999 ($720). The 8 and 12 256GB units in the middle cost CNY4,299 and CNY4,599, respectively. The cheapest 8/128GB version of the Xiaomi 13 Pro costs CNY4,999 ($720), while the larger 12/512GB model costs CNY6,299 ($900). Pricing and availability for other countries will be disclosed later.
