Call of Duty Warzone is undoubtedly a smash-hit success for Activision. The game that was made to compete against the likes of Fortnite and Apex Legends by tackling the FPS Battle-Royale genre, While the game brings the fast-paced and explosive action that Call of Duty is well known for. However, the recent Warzone Cheater situation has made a lot of people have second thoughts about the game.

Activision is looking into the Warzone Cheater Situation

While Call of Duty Warzone is enjoying immeasurable success with its free-to-play endeavors of Call of Duty Warzone, the surprising situation of glitches and cheaters are tales that are old as time.

Fans were able to look past the constant flurry of cheaters, paired with the number of glitches that would frequently pop up in the game and ruin the experience for others.

However, the cracks were soon becoming apparent. Even major streamers of the game like Vikkstar proclaimed their protest at the games constant state of hackers and cheaters.

It’s not only Vikkstar that grew frustrated, but fans and the players who spent dozens of hours in the game are equally frustrated of playing matches that are significantly longer than a typical game of Fortnite or Apex, only to end up losing in the final circle to a hacker, cheater or someone exploiting a glitch.

Say what you will about EA and Epic, they at least know how to handle a cheater situation swiftly. However, Activision’s lack of attention to that front is starting to make fans feel like their voices are not being heard.

In an in-game announcement done earlier today, the company has now announced plans of revising the current situation with cheaters.

It seems Activision is working on developing a new anti-cheat software to tackle the problem and if all goes well, could be the only way to save Warzone.

While the company has not yet outlined plans for tackling Warzone cheaters yet, we can hope that the new system is implemented immediately and help reduce the number of instances of cheating and exploiting that are taking place in the game.
