There are rumors that Apple is developing “Apple GPT” and has a framework to support LLM development.

In order to gain an advantage over competitors like OpenAI and Google, Apple built the “Ajax” framework, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The company’s developers refer to its internal chatbot as Apple GPT, and the framework will be used to create big language models that are comparable to ChatGPT and Microsoft’s Bing. Even if the product is under development, Gurman asserts that Apple lacks a “clear strategy” about what the programme would provide users.

Apple first considered collaborating with OpenAI andevaluated the firm’s technologies for business teams. The two businesses, nevertheless, were unable to agree. The Google Jax machine learning framework, which runs on Google Cloud, is the foundation for the Ajax framework. Several teams are developing artificial intelligence to assist in enhancing services like Siri. Owners of iPhones, iPads, or Macs are aware that the voice assistant falls short of competitors like Google Assistant and Amazon’s Alexa.

Apple GPT may make Siri better, but we can’t make any predictions at this early stage since we don’t know when Apple will release the chatbot or how it will work.
