Microsoft has acknowledged that it has ended the lengthy $1 Xbox Game Pass Ultimate trial and is looking into other options for potential new subscribers.

Several media publications claimed over the weekend that Microsoft has discontinued its $1 Game Pass offer in a number of nations. Through this promotion, new customers may purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription for a month for only $1. Following this first month, the standard price for an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership was $14.99 ($9.99 for PC Game Pass alone).

Microsoft’s representative has now officially announced that the trial agreement has been terminated.

We have stopped our previous introductory offer for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass and are evaluating different marketing promotions for new members in the future.

There are currently no other information available regarding these potential new marketing efforts. Some claim that the lengthy trial’s termination had something to do with Microsoft’s forthcoming merger with Activision-Blizzard and its preparations to include Activision-Blizzard titles to its Xbox Game Pass collection.
