The site will soon have an AI-powered tool that would automatically subtitle films in various languages, according to a YouTube announcement. This may seem like a simple feature, but thanks to AI-powered dubbing, everyone will be able to enjoy material that was previously impossible, helping both authors and viewers to completely forget about the language barrier.

Currently, Aloud is the name of the new YouTube tool that enables content producers to “quickly and easily dub their videos into multiple languages, unlocking knowledge that might be trapped in a single language today.” The good news is that Google is working to make sure the new tool will make dubbing much simpler for all producers, particularly those who often struggle to have their films dubbed in many languages to appeal to their larger audience. Take a look at this awesome demonstration video.

Amjad Hanif from YouTube also discussed how the function is presently being tested with various artists across the globe in an interview with The Verge. There are just a few languages that it now supports, but more will be added in the future. We do know that at launch, English, Spanish, and Portuguese will be offered, with other languages like Hindi and Bahasa Indonesia joining the feature’s roster.
