Capcom was a victim to a data breach wherein criminal organization Ragnar Locker destroyed and publically leaked Capcom’s encrypted data, demanding a huge sum of ransom money for the compromised information. While Capcom is working with law enforcement in Japan and the United States, Ragnar Locker continues to leak breached information. If the situation isn’t resolved, we’re likely to witness even more leaks, although the further leaks may not be related to games.

Ragnar Locker also leaked the personal details of thousands of Capcom employees and customer information. That’s a big hit on the company’s reputation at large. While Capcom has confirmed that it’s website and online services are still up and safe to access, the employees of the company has expressed their disdain after their personal data was revealed.
