After a lot of waiting, Doom Eternal Nintendo Switch Release Date has finally been revealed. After many months of silence and patience, and at one point where fans thought the port had been scrapped, Bethesda has just announced the release date for the game and other details pertaining to the Nintendo Switch version.

Doom Eternal Nintendo Switch Release Date Revealed – rip and tear and on the go!

Doom Eternal is a game that needs little to no introduction. Released on March 20th of this year for the PS4, Xbox One and PC, Bethesda games did confirm that Panic Button, the developers of the Doom (2016) port for the Nintendo Switch will be making a comeback to port Doom Eternal for the Nintendo console.

However, that statement was followed by months of silence and no new updates on the port.

The official twitter handle for the game has just tweeted out a December 8th, 2020 release date for the game and also shared some important details about the Nintendo Switch port, along with features.

If you head over to Slayers Club, you can get answers to a lot of questions regarding the port.

Here are some key points:

  • The game is currently stated at being 18.8GB
  • It will not have a physical release, the release is exclusively digital
  • The game has gyro controls for the standard Switch and Switch Lite
  • Doom Eternal will only have 1 multiplayer mode, Battlemode, a 2v1 that pits Doom Slayer against 2 demons
  • DLC (The Ancient Gods Part 1) will release later in 2021)

As such, the hype for Doom Eternal has pretty much died down since its release, but Nintendo Switch fans can finally experience the pure pleasure of ripping and tearing on the go!

While no specific details were shared regarding the resolution and frame rate, we are going to have to wait for publications like Digital Foundry and others to get their hands on the game and make tear down videos examining the resolution and frame rates.
