This year, Apple is reportedly bringing the Dynamic Island to all iPhone 15 models, which is a significant improvement over last year. On the inside, there is allegedly another modification occurring that affects where the proximity sensor is located.

This tweet from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says that Dynamic Island will have a proximity sensor. Despite the fact that Apple should be able to lower the pill-shaped region, this is sadly not stated in the tweet, thus the size will probably stay the same.

Dynamic Island’s size has not changed despite the proximity sensor’s new location, according to Kuo, although this may be due to Apple’s supply chain. The tech giant most likely advised its supply chain at the beginning of the year to continue producing the same panels since any changes would result in extra expenses. Apple probably does not want another justification to start boosting the prices of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which are already expected to increase this year.

With the sensor’s new location, it is conceivable that Apple might have used a drop-shaped cutout rather than a pill-shaped one, and that alone could have created the Dynamic Island while showing alerts.
