Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is still a title that many fans are hoping to be announced very soon, but it seems that a renowned Call of Duty and Battlefield leaker may have some information to share regarding the potential future entry to the series. While Tom Henderson has a good track record with Battlefield and Call of Duty leaks, how credible are they for GTA related leaks?
GTA 6 could do a first for Rockstar
Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be 8 years old this year, and we are no closer to seeing or hearing anything about a new entry to the series than any other year. We only know that GTA 5 is coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S very soon, but aside from that, the company is tight-lipped about anything related to the world of Grand Theft Auto.
One of the latest rumors to come out of the mill comes from a renowned Call of Duty and Battlefield leaker, Tom Henderson. If you’re aware of the leaks given by Tom, you know he has a very good track record when it comes to the games he talks about. However, what happens when Tom weighs in on games that he hasn’t talked about before? Does his credibility carry over or will he be considered among the dozens of others in an ocean of rumors for the game?
Tom states that for the first time in a GTA title, players will be able to play as a female and a male. Implying the return of the player switching mechanic from GTA 5. However, we advise taking this news with some salt.
Grand Theft Auto 5 is easily one of Rockstar’s most successful projects in a very long time, owed primarily due to the presence and constant updates given to GTA Online, the multiplayer element of the game.
We have had frequent rumors and whispers about what could be in store for Grand Theft Auto 6, but until we hear something official from Rockstar, these can only be chalked up as rumors.
With Rockstar focused on bringing GTA 5 to the next gen, working on online content for Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto Online, we could still be an uncertain amount of time away from a new entry in the series.
