We previously reported through leakers that weapon modifications (suppressors, sights, etc.) are all work in progress or under development for Fortnite, but a new leak seems to indicate that Vehicle Modifications for Fortnite are also on the table for discussion.

Vehicle Modifications for Fortnite – Shifting the Battle Royale experience

Vehicle modifications for Fortnite are something that got leaked earlier and while there is no visible proof for it, there is a presence of it in the files which Fortnite leakers have found to exist.

While it would be too odd to introduce amidst Chapter 2 Season 5, this could be food for thought for Chapter 2 Season 6 that is set to launch in a couple of months.

Currently Fortnite is ahead of the pack when it comes to building a very dynamic game, which is why it is the leader of the pack when it comes to being the king of the Battle Royale Genre.

According to the leak, you will be able to customize the tyres of your car to drive better on certain terrains, make them more difficult to burst, and even attachments like Mounted Guns are also in the picture.

Considering how cars in Fortnite are a mixed bag, with some people loving the cars and others hating them, we can see vehicle modifications being something that would significantly shift the games meta.

While vehicles are currently under utilized in the game and have a higher usage attributed to players looking to complete challenges more easily, there are players who use them for a competitive edge, but those vehicles don’t last long when you’re in the final circle or fighting the last 20 players who have legendary or epic tier weapons.

For now, we still don’t know when Epic Games plans on installing these features into the game or whether there will be a soft test for them or not. However, we do know that the game is always shifting and throwing us curveballs. We can’t say we won’t be surprised should this be introduced in the next season.

What are your thoughts on the modifications? Would you like to see them in the game? Let us know in the comments section below!
