Łukasz Babiel, the QA lead at Cyberpunk 2077, recently Tweeted a screenshot from Cyberpunk 2077 showcasing 175 hours and 43 minutes of total playtime. Babiel, responsible for internal testing of the game, is the same person who unlocked the platinum trophy on Cyberpunk 2077 and shared a screenshot on Twitter. Two photos were shared in the Tweet, one that showed the Nomad lifepath captioned “How it started” and the other showcasing the playtime captioned “How it’s going”. Taking Babiel wording into consideration, I suppose it’s still going and you can easily spend over 200 hours in-game.
Dozens of people took their quiries and dumped them into the comments. Babiel answered a lot of them, uncovering previosuly unkown details about the game. When asked if the 175 hours was a completionist’s time, he answered
“Not really, that’s just one of my ongoing slow paced playtroughs on the hardest difficulty where I play more stealthy than usual, loot everything, use every feature the game has to offer, I take my time ;)”
He further goes on to mention that this time can change depending on your playstyle, difficulty setting and choices. A previously published report said that Cyberpunk 2077’s main story will be slightly shorter than Witcher 3. Considering that Witcher 3’s main story was about 50 hours long, you can rush through Cyberpunk 2077’s main story in some 40 odd hours. But that’s not how you’re supposed to play CDPR’s games. CDPR’s games are all about soaking in the world and going on adventures via side missions. Furthermore, if there’s a CyberGwent in the game or equivalent, say goodbye to another 20 hours of your time.
Diving deeper into the comments, Babiel mentioned that there is a censor mode to turn-off nudity. Even though Cyberpunk 2077 is an adult game, there’s a ton of content that would make an adult uncomfortable, so the censor mode comes in handy.

Cyberpunk 2077 comes out on December 10th on PS4, PS5, XBox One, Xbox Series S/X and Stadia. Despite a ton of delays, December 10th is the final release date for the game as retail units have started popping out of the wild.
